So The Mandela Effect Is: In the Movie Crocodile Dundee, when Mick pulls out a knife while he and Sue are getting robbed does he say “That’s Not a Knife – THIS is a Knife” or “That’s Not a Knife – THAT’S a Knife”?
The movie Crocodile Dundee is a personal favorite of mine. I would say it ranks in my top 40 and I have to say, without exaggeration, that I have watched this movie at least 45 times….if not more.
It’s one of those movies I am unable to turn off whenever I come across it, even if it is on regular television, commercials and all, which is really saying something.
Therefore I am absolutely stunned that one of my favorite scenes/lines in the movie has now changed. When Dundee and Sue are getting robbed at knife point by a couple of young thugs in New York, Dundee pulls out his dagger and says “That’s not a knife, THIS is a knife!”
Well that has now changed to “That’s not a knife, THAT’S a Knife!”
This is another Mandela Effect I would’ve bet money on. I’m sorry…. it just doesn’t sound right to me the “new” way. When bringing this effect up to others more than one person told me this was a common mistake made by many for years, which I will admit, does then have me second guessing myself and my own memory. But when all is said and done, I’m still sticking to my story.
Simpsons Residual Proof (Interesting Side Fact: The Simpsons are becoming known for two very unusual things. One is they have a strange tendency to see into the future AND they are also becoming a great place to Find Mandela Effect Residue. Check out our article here on

And Here Again
Another interesting “Mandela Effect” when it comes to the movie Crocodile Dundee is that there is a 3rd Crocodile Dundee movie that came out titled “Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles“, made in 2001. Unbelievably, I have never heard of this movie before.
While I was, like most fans, quite disappointed by the Crocodile Dundee sequel, I still would’ve given a third movie a shot. That is if I had known it even existed. At first I thought maybe it was just me that hadn’t heard about it. However, in asking around, I surprisingly found out that I was by far not the only one who was unaware a third movie had been made.
Stranger still is, even if I had originally missed the 3rd movie’s initial release, I subscribe to Netflix, Hulu, Amazon and have all of the Prime Channels on cable. How is it possible that in ALL of my searches, through all of those guides, I have never come across this movie? It was supposedly released in 2001 and yet I haven’t even stumbled across it by accident once in 17 years?
Due to dedicating my time to working on this site, I haven’t had a chance to look for it recently, but you can bet I will be soon.
So the questions are….
AndDid you ever hear or watch the Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles movie?
